Okay Here is the Coin picture I looked at. Keep in Mind I like em rough and no newcomb variety listed as that is part of the fun for me.

Here was the listing title

Tough - 1817 Large Cent - US Early Copper Coin *175

Can from a Seller that I have seen mentioned on here a few times for being okay to buy from so I pulled the trigger without even really looking at the coin close.

Well, just remember that design wasn't made in 1817 - that is a Braided Hair cent, not a Coronet Head.

You might be surprised what three years or so of carrying it around with some other change in you pocket might do for it.
