my question is what set would be best to work on first the Lincolns or something else.

I think the Lincolns are the most reasonable set to work on completing/upgrading. There are several in that set you will have to pay up for, but not many comparatively. In the end, it's up to you and what coin(s) you like best! In Memory of Crazyb0 12-26-1951 to 7-27-2020
