About-uncirculated. That's an extremely rare find for circulation

OH! So a better than average find? I sure was surprised when I looked at the date. I wonder if someone is spending someone's penny hoard... ;-)

What would the value of that cent be? 3-4$ maybe?

That's a neat find. Looks AU like CoinFrog said. More valuable. Nice find!

Yes certainly coin be! Good for you, but bad for the prior owner.

but I sure will be keeping it in my container of nifty coins!

NO ,you have to put that bad boy in a 2x2 holder .The condition of that coin found in the wild is indeed a rarity .

I wonder how many pennies are put (hoarded) away and when they will see the light of day. The zincolns will probably deteriorate. I still pull out my '82 and prior coppers...haven't seen a wheat in a while except when CRH.

Geesh... I need to learn a bit more about these things! I know stamps & ephemera, but not coins! Maybe for now I can seal it up in a glassine envelope or something...

Nah a 2"x2" holder would suffice...one coin I have was placed by me in a self seal envelope almost 50 years ago...still red!
