I too have yet to see a 2008 D. This is weird since I roll search pennies quite often.

The 2008 D pennies are all down here in Shreveport, I guess. I'm getting roughly one in every two pennies are 2008D right now from cashier change.

i roll-hunt nickels and pennies, and I've gotten 2008-Ps in both, although they're not nearly as common as 07s right now... Since I can only go about 5 more miles east before I fall in the ocean, I don't get a lot of Denver coins in general.

I guess I'm the same as eaglefoot. I get a lot of Ds over here. All the P mints are pretty beat up by the time I see them but do I get a lot of S-mints (3 to 4 per roll) being close to san-fran. helps. Also I get a ton of Canadian. I just live 18 miles across the water from Victoria.BC and we have a ferry that run back and forth all day.

No problem in the Midwest for any P or D coins. Every year I find all of either I want with no problems at all. That is usually true of all denominations except Nickels. For a few years now I've had problems finding any newer Nickels.

I find it strange that you are still getting a lot of S minted cents?
They haven't made them for circulation for more than 30 years. You would think that some of them would have made it out of the county....
Strange. I hope you're keeping them because a roll of circulated S mint marked lincolns will get you more on e-bay than a regular roll of lincolns.

It seems is south Texas all we get is the D coins. P's take much longer to filter down here.

I received a full $25 box of them a few months ago. Was hoping for a good box to roll hunt but ended up with an entire box of 2008D cents (pennies).
Are these worth holding on to or should I just cash them in for another box?

LOL....I did the same thing on Friday but got P's instead of D's. Personally, I am going to sit on this box for a while since it's the last year for this design.

I'm keeping my 2008D box intact for now, however I'll keep my eye out for a 2008D OBW roll. BadThad, if I find one, I'll let you know.

That would ROCK docsfishn! We don't get much in the way of new D coins in my area.
