Thank you all. Patiently waiting for coin guides to come in (any that weren't e books). I'll probably start with the oldest coins and then all the pennies! You all have been great help and so much better than watching the same YouTube videos over and over again. glad I found this website.

That 1851 large cent is sweet. Common date but the condition is lovely. In case no one has warned you yet DO NOT try to clean your coins.

@conder101 , thank you! And the coin cleaning is actually the first thing I ever googled when I found these coins. I got a big fat NO ! I never knew that a large cent existed actually. I figure the really awesome coins are still in the boxes. Hoping I find more like it. I've been sifting through the coin jar change. I've come across an insane amount of foreign coins as well. My main goal is to rehome them to someone who will appreciate them more than I will. But yes, no cleaning the coins! Thank you so much.

Quote: Possibly experimental dies? What do you mean please? The golden color is either a gold plated coin or just toning. John1

@John1 I came across a video that talked about the 1999 State Quarters and how some of them were being experimented on with dies . It's the closest thing I can find that resembles it. How do you quote? I'd like to do that.

Highlight the words you want to put in a quote box then copy past in reply window. Then highlight that and click on the 2nd box from the right in the format line above. John1

Can we get pics of the backs of that 1875? The 1909S is like $25. The Franklins are like $9 each. Without reverse pics or denom if the 1875 Seated I can't help. I'll act as custodian of this thread mods.
