NS, it's still a nice coin even with the rim hits, if genuine. I've never seen such large die breaks on one of these, both sides of the coin, especially on the wreath. You might want to weight and check the specs on the coin when it arrives. The color of the surfaces has that China look to me.

Will definitely check it out, thanks. The seller is in the UK so it will take longer than usual to get in hand. Does the lettering on the reverse look doubled?

Cheek scratch would bother me.

AU-55 for lack of luster . Rim hits and scratch on face is bothersome but otherwise nice coin .

First look I thought VF-35, but I'm going to say a XF-45 or a AU-50. I have mixed thoughts.

No opinion on the grade, but you coin has a listed interior die break. It is IDB-10c-1892-01 on cuds-on-coins.com. Great find, and your coin is a much better example than the plate coin!

This is a classic NS snare. Great price, but... I admire his tenacity!

Thanks fortcollins! I was actually on that site, but wasn't able to find the coin/variety you found. I think I also see the 2 interior die breaks at the top of the wreath that are also found in this variety. Wonderful folks on this forum. Also learned from this site that Cuds are die breaks at the rim and all others are interior die breaks.

This one came in. Looks like the seller's photos but a little darker. I may need to contact the publisher of the Cud reference because this coin appears to have three additional freestanding internal die breaks and a die chip in the reverse that are not pointed out on the reference pictures (IDB-10c-1892-01 http://cuds-on-coins.com/interior-d...892-to-1916/), even though the breaks are clearly visible in the worn out coin reverse plate photo in the reference.

AU55. Interesting coin. Isn't there another small one in the notch of the corn husk?

The Cud is sure neat on the cap of Liberty, the Cuds all over the reverse are neat, the pitting around the rims is strange and the hole on the reverse at 5:00? Strange as well, almost like the front got a harsh brush cleaning a long, long time ago and the reverse got acid splashed on it. Overall the coin is remarkably in good shape. I could see paying $25.00 for something this odd, wish there was more story to go with it.
