Ive been waiting for the last 2008 silver State Quarter set as I'm sure we all were I'm going to lay them all out and measure them in a square or something and have a custom frame made for mine to hang on the wall and guess over the years what the grades might be its to expensive to have them all individually graded besides that they probably wont grade all the same hope everyone enjoys there sets.

Don't forget.......IT AIN'T OVER YET !
Next year is the U.S. Territory Quarters
Then possibly the "State Parks"
Then probably the Pepsi, Coke, and Budweiser Quarters
Then the GoldenPalace.com quarters will sponsor themselves on a qtr.
Then they're going to do the "Presidential Quarters" since the Dollars were such a big hit.
They'll then have an NFL, NBA, and MLB Quarter series honoring Americas favorite sports.

The U.S. Mint will give the Franklin Mint and others of that ilk, a run for their money ........

Maybe I should record a video of the "cracking" process just so Eaglefoot can learn how to do it?

The Budweiser quarters have been put on haitus- they will now be InBev 20 Eurocents

disclaimer: I can sometimes smell the hops cooking on Pestalozzi St. in the morning so I take this rather personally...

Well then, I suppose we'll issue a commemorative dollar for Budweiser.

i saw this on a webcite earlier

New Ideas For The Quarter Coin!

With the end drawing near for the Statehood Quarter series, new ideas are being discussed to continue with having different reverse designs on the coin. One of the first ideas is to emulate the picture on the Little Rock Nine Silver Dollar which depicts a theme for desegregation in education. Representative Watt of North Carolina has introduced legislation to establish a program with 40 different coin reverse designs that would be emblematic of 40 prominent civil rights leaders and important events. Some of the suggested leaders would include Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman and many others. Like the Statehood Quarters, there would be 5 different designs per year with the first 32 coin designs to be completed within two years after the legislation is enacted. The coins would be issued in both uncirculated and proof conditions.

Well....the U.S. Mint is going to be a very busy place for a long long time.........

I sort of wish they would do with the Quarters what they did with the Jefferson nickel.....have a series with the Quarter.....then once that is complete..... put a brand new design of George Washington on the obverse ......and a different looking Eagle Emblem for the reverse ....... and just go with that for twenty years or so.

Congress needs to take a chill pill on going crazy with all of these different "changes" with our coinage......a little bit here and there is refreshing and even necessary, but they seem to be ON CRACK and going 10,000 times over the acceptable limit for yours truly.

I would not be surprised if we never see a "permanent" reverse design on the Quarter again. By permanent, I mean the normal twenty or more years.

By them (the Mint) thinking they're "revitalizing" our sport.......they're actually "ruining" our sport by doing this!
On one hand, the excitement they're creating by all of the new coins and designs is bringing MILLIONS of new collectors to the game.
But then they are "cheaping" the sport by the "new ideas" and minting in the Billions and with cheaper less-precious metal compositions.........
Some changes are understandable of course, but, overall, they're just evolving towards a "bad direction" IHMO.

I have said this more than once, and I will say this 1000 times if necessary...

Just because the mint makes it, it does not mean you have to collect it!

IMHO, there is nothing finer than a complete 1932~1998 Washington quarter set!
Well, besides a completed Ike or Franklin set, of course!

I like that idea about makeing the new quarters series like the west ward journey nickel series too, Whats next the state capitol quarters lol,Hopefully they will produce smaller mintages to make it more interesting for the veterans here, like coins that sell out from the u.s. mint in a day or 2 or even within hours with mintages in the 100k range I bet if we wrote to them enough they would do it for collectors on occasions !

I doubt it I think I heard every coin saved is money in the bank for the mint... I Think they are gonna push people away with all this change every year.. I have noticed a lot of people collected the Statehood Quarters and keep everyone they found including myself... But now knowing that they are not worth the storage people cash them in and collect otherwise.. Makes you wonder if the dansco and whitman are in with the mint and all these new ideas. A dansco has as many Statehood Quarters in it from 1932-98 as they do from 99-2008
