I agree that the colouring makes it make a lot more sense than its circulation counterpart. So these are supposed to be out and about along with regular loon if I understand it correct? Not like the regular loon will only be available in mint sets.?

I just picked up a few of these loonies at the coin exchange (in Toronto). I've had zero luck at banks, though TD bank did get a few of these rolls (which I missed), and RBC keeps on telling me that they won't be receiving any of these.

The coin exchange is at the Mariott Downtown at 525 Bay Street in the Adelaide room (10-6). It also continues Saturday (10-6) and Sunday (10-4). They have a pop-up shop with other coins you can see in person (like a mini-mint store), and a large cardboard cut out of the loonie. There were no lines when I went. If you're in the area, it might be worth popping in.

Are these coin exchanges listed anywhere? I thought there would be a press release, but apparently not. Also, the RCM hasn't updated their website since the Armistice exchanges.

They are worth $1. They will only ever be worth $1 with the extremely rare exception for errors, and ms-70 coins.
