All of my coins, including the cent look excellent! The OGP box for the set has condition issues where the edge looks like it wasn't glued properly and it is scrunched up and smashed looking on a couple of edges. At least the cent wasn't floating loose :)

I got both proof sets today (clad and silver) and they look great. Both cents were much nicer than I expected (given the reports) and were sealed in their bags.

My silver set box is not square, that is the sealed end was glued crooked. I guess I should be glad that is my only complaint.

I suppose you could carefully break the glued seal and re-glue it if it really bothers you...

The boxes go into storage. As long as everything fits in the box I am okay.

Isn't it odd that the cent can simply be put in its separate envelope, and that envelope fits nicely in the proof set box. The solution to this issue is right in front of their eyes, but a decision maker at the mint is too short-sighted to recognize it.

Edit - I bet someone was smart enough to have the special envelope sized so it would fit in the box. But some bonehead didn't figure it out to actually put it in the box.

I agree. The fulfillment crew is going to follow directions, I hope, and it seems to me that this is ultimately laziness on the part of those writing up the procedure.

I received my second set in the mail today and two things occurred: 1) the mailing box was secure (glued tight), and 2) the special cent WAS enclosed this time.
I wonder if item "1" had something to do with item "2".

Not everything works perfectly. I ordered this set, and got an un-circulated set in stead. I already have one of those, so this one has gone back and a new silver proof set should be here next week or so.
