Why do you say it's counterfeit? What convinced you that it is?

This one seems bogus, because of what shows up on the scale:

There was more than one seller with zero feedback selling these rarities when I looked.

What did you find it? Based on the limited pictures and 3.1g - it looks genuine to me. The rim anomaly could just be from the strike, the machines were setup to coin zinc planchets. Other than that, I don't see anything that screams fake.

@hunter2618

I am also wondering why you decided that it is fake. Nothing is definitive to me despite some minor questionable aspects. I do hope you're not passing up a huge score because of a little doubt.

Yes, says it weighs 3.1 grams then shows a scale with whole gram accuracy that indicates 3 grams. Anything over 2.5 grams would show as 3 grams and since close to half of all zinc cent would be slightly over 2.5 grams they would show 3 grams as well. Fortunately he pulled the listing.

I had a friend whom I've known for quite some years that's been collecting coins for I'd say 5 or 6 years take a look at it and do all the test with sound and weight according to him it didnt weigh 3.1 and didnt have the ring he said when he weight it it was 2.6 2.7 that's why I said it wasnt real. Thank you all for your insight and advice. Wish it would of been the real thing.
