Yes Large Letter variety. You can see the large 1 over small 1 in both #1s in the date. Not a proof I believe due to many stars being flat. MS64

I think the star is only given for exceptional eye appeal within the assigned grade as opposed to a 'step up' + in grade.

The good news is the B-5 variety is a Rarity 5.
