Thanks. And ItchyN what DDO do you think it is? I'd love to know.

The photos are not good enough for me to attempt attribution.

While surfing the web I found a listing sold on Amazon as Fletcher 110. With even more research I found that fletcher is the author of a series of books in Shield cents. Does anyone know a site that documents his book varieties?

The Fletcher book is out of print and difficult to find. There isn't a website version.

If you're looking for an available reference, consider the Shield nickel Viewer:

Wow! Lucky ducky. I'm looking on the internet and it's expensive. $60 on Amazon. Crazy! Could you try to attribute this variety? Key marker is the big die break on the right side of the coin on the leaves. If you could attribute this coin would be great if you can't it's no problem. Thanks!

When it comes to specialized reference books, especially ones that are out of print, $60 is not expensive.

For me it is. I'm not a huge book person.

No offense but that's one of the differences between a collector and a numismatist.

No offense taken. I'm an amateur so I'm still learning. When I'm a little deeper in to hardcore collecting I'll probably think it's cheap. :)
