The doubling effect on your coin is not nearly as strong or defined as the real deal. I think it's not the one, keep looking!

With all respect everyone has their opinion therefore now that we have established that much let's recognize some facts I never said I had the legendary 1984 double ear. My version of the 84 double ear is the cent that has Lincoln with coullier flower ear such as a MMA fighter with that being said a coin sold on heritsge auctions for $211.00 sith the same characteristics as the 1 I posted...I'll take that anyday. Well now, then why'd you post on here to begin with instead of posting your coin to auction? For that kind of money I personally wouldn't have wasted the time...especially if I was so sure!

I wasn't aware of the selling of the coin until after the fact of posting I'm new to the coin hunting and new to collecting. I do this as a hobby it has become a passion being that coin collecting has really got a lot of younger peoples attention when I started doing this 5 years ago (the reason I say I'm new is because most have been doing since they could count change) not that many people were doing it when I started everything I learned is textbook so asking other people gives me a more Broad explanation for some of the things that seem on coins I'm grateful for this community and have nothing but respect for it and its members.

OP I know that sometimes when we find something what we think is a legit variety it can be difficult to accept the reality when it's not. You have to trust people here that have been doing this for years. Happy hunting!

Here is something new I discovered today on the 1984 DDO-001. The ear and the beard we knew about the doubling there. But I noticed the bowtie is also doubled.  |
