Very, very nice coin! I'm in at VF-35 as well. I collect errors and varieties, but I really would love to own this coin.  ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Very nice germanicus. I think VF details due to the reverse hits. I had a similar condition 1795 that was VF details by ANACS with fine pin scratches that were less obvious.

@acloco, You are absolutely correct with regard to the reverse clashes. I have looked at other S-28's and a few do show the same type of clash to some degree
on the reverse, specially around the wreath. I had somehpw overlooked that.

Very sorry to reply off topic, however despite being a member of this forum for a decade, it will not allow me to direct message you.
I am doing a census of all known Arequipa 1/5 sols of Peru. I know we have discussed here in a past thread (and you have mentioned in other forums) you have one. It is my assumption that yours came from the 2014 Baldwin sale. Can you please confirm or deny that if you don't mind?

Yes, my example of the Arequipa 1/5 Sol 1885 came from Auction 91 of the Baldwins sales of September 2014, lot 3235. Interesting you should mention it. We have been discussing this topic in one of the Peruvian FB groups. The concensus there is that 10-12 are known, and possibly up to 15 exist. One was auctioned just a few days ago by Sedwick (best known?) Let us continue this discussion, if you wish, over in the World Coin section. It is a fascinating topic as well. Edited by GERMANICVS

GERMANICVS - Another lovely EAC '94 I'd think this coin might sneak into a TPG holder at EF40, as to the EAC grade? VF30 isn't a stretch. Your coins always amaze me with wonder. westcoin, thank you for your comments. They are very much appreciated.
I have to admit that EAC grading is still a challenge for me, specially when it comes to accounting for defects. How much to deduct? Being as objective as possible and with the help of the EAC Grading Guide I arrive at a grade of VF25/20, net F15
maybe a little bit higher.
