I agree, it is on the line for sure, but it depends on the angle, rb would definitely be nice though.

Here's some shots with little lighting. Also might have an rpm.

the new photos make a big difference. I'm betting this is the real look of the coin. color looks RB but the bad news is that the reverse strike on the right stock is weak. I think it may hold it to 65 maybe 66 tops. 66 is double the value of a 65RB so its worth a shot to send it in

64BN

The TPG's hate woodies, a 63 from them wouldn't surprise me.

It looks like the first photos to the naked eye, glossy, and rb. under higher magnification you start to see the slight woody appearance but only then, I can post a vid if needed, with no light reflection it is still RB, not brown like most brown coins I have seen when you angle it away from direct light and youre not looking at the luster.

63 BN.

10 S are known to be "brick red" or "brick orange" in color.

$80 was a fair price to pay. Could turn out to be worth more, of course.

But what I like about it is that sweet woodgrain.

Beautiful coin! I love the early die state obverse. Your mm position doesn't match any of the known RPMs. (The three big RPMs and Wexler's fourth minor RPM all have the mm more to the west.) I agree with the upthread comments on reverse strike weakness. On balance, I could see it coming in MS-65 BN/RB, but the possible upside is worth taking a shot. Depending on the TPG grade, it might be worth trying for a CAC sticker, as well.

At $80, I sure don't see any downside on this one. It would be snatched in a heartbeat on a bourse floor.
