If you decide to slab, ANACS would slab it for not too much.

John I'll have to get pics of it. I wanted to post a separate thread with this coin because I need advice. I'll try to post it later today. I have such a hard time posting pics to this site.

It can be a challenge, but keep at it. It is best if you do start your own thread. John1

Quote:What a stellar find! Totally worth a trip to a TPG in my opinion, [sarcasm]Oh yes, you should definitely give all or at least most of the premium profit from your find to the TPG. [/sarcasm]

Absolutely a stunner and a RARE one. one of the best CRH finds I've seen in a long time!
If it were mine I would not start the bid below $55.00

John I started another thread on this coin. I guess I sized the photos properly so I decided it was so easy I'd add it to yours.

I wouldn't say you should waste 60-100 dollars to slab a $50 coin! That would not be the best decision to make value-wise. ANACS costs like $10 per coin in a large submission, which to me is a pretty good price to have it slabbed. It's more the error for me, not the value.

John1, great coin! I have never seen one like this before! To those guessing the year, weighing in at 3.1 makes it a copper coin, thus 1982 or before. Again, John1, nice find!

Quote: ANACS costs like $10 per coin in a large submission, Key word is LARGE. If you send it by itself or with just a few coins the TPG charge plus the prorated shipping /insurance charges both ways will still bring it up to $30 or so. It needs to be a large submission to bring the shipping/insurance cost per coin down to a reasonable figure.
