VF details. I think the rust will be considered environmental damage. most likely improperly stored for many years in a higher humidity area. there is some weakness in strike mainly reverse.

Also, I gave it a soak in pure acetone, it had some grunge on the surface that it definitely improved.

It had a greasy something or other on the surface, yeah, it improved it quite a bit, did acetone, then xylene for about 30 minutes each, definitely helped it out a lot.
