This isn't an error. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD). The letters are from a coin being dropped on it. You can see the pushed and shoveled metal from being displaced.
Errers and Varietys.

What is on the edge above that area. It looks like a struck though debris that is now on the edge of the coin? It happens some times:

hello Lincoln8989

In a round about way, Spence asked if the T on the rim was raised?

PSD from another coin (vise job)?
Lets say it is incused. The "T" is from TRUST and the letter to the right is a backwards "S" from TRUST.

EDIT:
Lincoln8989 is the "T" raised or incused?

I found this coin in a roll of 1971 and notice the extra T on the rim Not sure how it got there Can't be another coin fell on top of it because the T looks clean and the rim don't look like another coin was struck on top of the rim But I'm just an amateur

Did the OP remove a few photos? I too don't see an obverse photo, and in Liberty I see only a half of the T.

As to values, we always direct everyone to ebay's sold listings. We rarely know dollar amounts, but ebay can show you what your coin has actually sold for. This is better than any book can show you.

it looks like there is an extra "backward" S to the right of the T on the rim as well.
This tells me TS is a reversed and a mirror image. So it would be PSD damage.

To answer Spence's question, the coin is raised. Their is thickness raised above the rim with the letter T

Something is going on the reverse opposite side of trust like an indent strike or damage. A good up close picture of the edge of the rim and the reverse in that area should answer whats going on.

It looks like damage. The edge of a coin is limited by the shape of the retaining collar. This coin has metal that it outside of the original curve. This is an indication of damage in most cases.

IMHO I agree that this is damage. The upturning process for the rim and the collar die wouldn't leave the coins rim ragged in this area.
