Quote: 18 years ago today I emerged from isolation into this world, 18 years later I'm back in isolation trying to get out! Very well said and very appropriate for the times. You'll be able to say to your grandkids: "Well Sonnyboy, on my 18th, it was like this way back then... and those old farts I hung out with inline .... " Congatulations and thanks for hanging with us O.F.'s
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Happy birthday. At 18, most of your numismatic experience is ahead of you !At 18, I had been working for my father since I was 12. He didn't charge me boarding money and requested that I save it all for my future. So I spent about 1/3 of my income on coins. At 18, I had bought my first ancient coin and my first gold sovereign. Fortunately my dad didn't object, because he felt that I knew what I was doing. That happened to be only partly true, but I did receive good professional numismatic advice, even as a kid. That was more than 50 years ago. I am still learning a lot, and need to be part of the CCF. Hope this inspires you.
