Quote: 4 of the ACT centenary 20 cent They were scarce for some reason,at least in NSW/Qld,when they were released in 2001.I had to buy a couple of rolls to make up sets, one was scam(got a refund seller claimed not to know),ACT at both ends and the rest various 20c,and one was genuine. NI 20c were also scarce back then.

I meant the 2013 Centenary of the ACT - not the 2001 Federation. I have plenty of the 2001 for all States but only 5 of the 2013 ACT

I think I found some 1985 and 1993 50 cents a while back - 3 each? Have to check. Oddly I am struggling to find the more recent coins.

2018 extremely difficult for me to find in 50c, and also 10c pieces have dried up. 2019 is also hard to find expect for the 20c.

I reckon completing the 2019 alphabet coins could be a challenge! Haven't seen any colored $2 coins for a while.

As a rule of thumb I think anything with a mintage of 5,000,000 or less at https://www.ramint.gov.au/circulating-coins is difficult to find. Only things in those lists that I haven't found in change are 20c pieces 1983-1988 but I suspect none ended up in circulation anyway.

There are plenty of 2019 5c around and $2, but few $1 and absolutely no 50c. These have gone off on ebay regarding price. None around of the IRB or JC heads. Good luck finding any.

Been hunting - looks like the alphabet coins disappeared! Even coloured $2 coins appear on and off. I reckon completing the 2019 coins from circulation will be a real mission! This also includes the new portrait.
Found a couple of cof 20 cents - Qld and SA, as well as UN. Didn't think I'll find that many commemorative 20 cents in one hit. Even finding one can be hard!
Also finally found 2011 $2. That was hard considering the low mintage.
Been culling duplicates & need to throw them back to circulation. They can add up quite quickly...

I live in Tasmania and at the moment almost every 50c I receive is a 2018. They're everywhere on the apple isle. I'll put one away for you if you'd like?

I have had a good run with the 2019 Alphabet dollars. Only missing M. Lots of spares. I have 65 coins in total. If anyone has a spare M and is missing any other to make the set - I am happy to swap

50 cent 2019 JC and SD don't appear in circulation at the moment. 20 cent SD is quite easy 2019, however 20 JC appear but not in my area. The 10 cent 2019 is both JC and SD appear but in very low numbers. The 2 dollar JC and SD also appear low numbers. 5 cent SD is common however JC I haven't seen.
I mean IRB not SD.
2020 coins that have appeared are only the coloured women ICC coin.
