Amazing strike imo, possible market grade of MS-61

The reason I don't think it makes MS is that the feathers seem too worn, the lines are much more defined on MS63 and above examples. Numis-Northerner could be close, it might grade above AU58. Interested to know the general consensus and let us know what price it fetches :)

Oh I agree 100% that the coin is AU-58 tops, because of the lustre disturbance on the high points. But market grading standards still allow for circulated coins to be graded uncirculated. (A practice I strongly disagree with, but it's seems common place with some US coins)

Well there's still about an hour and a half, and for me to bid on it I'd need a pretty strong consensus of 60 or above, preferably 61 and up ..... so we'll see, times not up yet.

Where does the bidding stand with a little more than an hour to go?

To me this looks like a MS coin, but I'm terrible grading Peace dollars. It's extremely difficult for me to differentiate weak strike details with light wear.

It's at $49 with $3.50 shipping.
And I'm really bad with Peace dollars as well, that's why I'm asking. If there's any chance of it not being MS, I'm not bidding, and so far it's not looking good.

Lots of marks but no wear. MS-62 tops.

Booming luster, strong obverse strike, light chatter. I'm at MS-64 for this one. Someone got a nice deal!

to me the coin looks MS63+ range. reverse strike is typical. the pit holes near the "B" are disconcerning

The dark obverse pic is obscuring a number of surface marks, especially in the left field, imo.

Weak strike doesn't matter when there is clear lustre disturbance
