Agree.

But the rim damage bothers me, if I were to send it in for grading.

Rim issues are negligible in my opinion.

they actually look like they could be a planchet flaw over PMD.

I think the rim issues on the reverse at the 12oclock point might be planchet flaw. As for grade I would say AU-58 sharpness but given the lack of luster I would probably put it at AU-50. Oh and as for price I don't know, though I do know that these are hard to find in decent uncleaned states.

AU53, hopefully the surfaces are original.

i think the coin grades straight. the rims are of no consequence as they appear to be original to the planchet. the lack of luster will hold it to AU50 maybe squeeze out 53 if the photos are not showing the luster correctly

Looks like a lamination error on the rims. while back I sent a Seated quarter in to NGC, got details, and then PCGS straight graded.

If surfaces natural, AU53 on the cusp of 55 if the reverse fields were a little better imo

I'll say AU-50 to 53. From these pics looks like It had an old cleaning, but I still think it will straight grade

You did good, very nice coin. Still AU-53 straight grade would be my guess.
