Quote: still haven't found a single west point quarter Same. However, I have to admit that it is from a lack of trying. I have not used cash since early March.

What are the actual odds of finding one of these in change? Should I even be looking? I am seeing them on ebay now but is that simply because dealers have access to rolls of them? What about the general public?

I have 2 coin op washer and dryer sets that only take quarters. I used to only search for silver but when I heard about the privy marks I began to search All of the quarters. Needless to say after going through approx. $1500. of coin, Nothing Nada zip. So any idea what are the chances of finding one? I have found Many foreign coins, slugs, many BU and 4 silver quarters.

Quote: What are the actual odds of finding one of these in change? I actually did a study awhile ago and I think ( ) I found the odds were around 1-in-4000 or so. The rate is probably even higher (1/5000) at this time, as some lucky people have acquired hundreds. I'm not sure how this has happened. My only thought is that the Mint really didn't do a good job in mixing their batches of quarters. My daughter got one for me in change last year, and I've found one myself from CRH full cases of quarters, so YES, they are out there; just not as easy as some of us wish. PS: I'm just guessing now on the odds I came up with. I've discarded the data I had when I did my study, and I'm NOT doing the math again.

Wellp, I guess SOMEONE is finding them out in the wild... being new at this, I don't understand how dealers are getting uncirculated ones and offering multiples already graded...

Maybe part of what makes them easier or harder to find could be that they are not equally distributed across the country. Could this be so? It's hard to image the US government caring to spread them out according to a plan and then executing the plan well.
Are folks finding them mostly in larger, urban/suburban places, especially nearer mints? Anyone finding them in rural Kansas or Alaska?
Stay well, Diy89Nurm7

I have one of these...somewhere. As I was just getting into collecting several months ago, I found it in my change. Thought the v75 was something fake...then thought it looked cool. I put it up somewhere and now cant find it... :(

I haven't seen a single piece of coin change since COVID last March - including my beloved nickel roll searching. Good luck to all for finding these.

I have gone through 40 rolls in February her in Pensacola FL, and I have found three. All three Samoa. In fact, I have found more bicentennial quarters than V75 quarters. I will keep looking. I won't stop until I have all five. I cannot justify buying one on ebay for $9 to $10
