Hey Will, Very spiffy coin indeed! But I am pretty sure that is LDB3456-1943-001. When I discovered that BIE I didn't have the greatest coin in the world so I didn't see most of the rest of the cracks, but looking at the images now I'm pretty sure I can see the die crack from the rim to the date as a marker.

What do you think?

I think that is a super coin, with multiple die cracks--very nice pick-up!

What gets me is that the die must have cracked fairly early in it's life otherwise you wouldn't have gotten a -66 for it.

Nice pick-up.
The mint must have caught that one before the die broke away and caused a Cud, unless there is one listed.

Thanks guys and that'll Batts for the listing. @John1 this one set me back $40. The seller has at least one more listed and one I think is a minor variety DDO. Thickness on the date. As soon as I bought it they went up to $50. If you are interested in one of these let me know I'll post a link!

And Batts you're right. The OP didn't notice the one spike heads or the rim to rim on that coin! You're saying you were the OP of that coin? Very cool

Hey folks I'm going through my coins and culling the heard. I came across this one today. I saw another wheat posted recently that got a new shattered die listing.
My question being (with this one having a rim to rim crack a LIBER break and four spike heads). Do you think this would be a candidate for shattered die?

I would think it worthwhile to get some nice clear pics together and send to JC. There are so few shattered dies listed, it would be cool to have yours listed right after lawest's. Very nice coin, Will!

I am on the fence whether it is a shattered die or a die break?

No I don't think so--it is the same coin, right?

Thanks folks. I set it aside. I'll take some better pictures and see if I can get it listed.
