Excellent find. Just shows what you can find in loose change.

Chuck - Tampa at one time was a hot spot for the 1983P-1DR-001, with more than a few found around that location. You may want to grab a few boxes of Brinks cents before you venture back north.

Yours is a well struck, very nice one!

cconrad, just curious. Did you show your coworkers and if you did, were they impressed? You might have competition now. One of my favorite cents. Gives me hope.

Yeah, I'm definately going to keep it. Give it about 20 more years and there's no telling how much it will be worth, but it will probably get handed down to my son along with the rest of my coins when I'm gone. I just hope he'll hold on to them and add to my collection.

How are you going to keep it, is it going to be slabbed

I would like to have it slabbed, but I'm not sure how all that works. I just started really collecting coins about a year ago, but that's something that I would like to look into.
