Out of respect,id rather not say. Id hate to get the man in hot water over it. He just rly liked these coins and was wondering the origin of it.Talked about how the coins contain copper which allows them to tone so well... Nothing more tbh.

I had completely missed the claim that you were called by a grader. Sorry I'm calling BS on that. I've worked with TPGs for years and the only time they ever called me was because I forgot to sign one form. There is no way that a grader, who has no access to your information, would or could call you. When you submit your coins all the graders see are the coins. The only people who know whose coins are whose are intake and shipping. Guess what, neither of those people have your information either. The people with your phone number, email, etc are the people in accounting. Beyond that it would be extremely stupid for that grader to do so as that would be grounds for immediate termination. You don't expect me to believe that that grader is so shortsighted that be would risk loosing his job to ask about a pretty coin he/she saw? Come on now? Really? These graders are often making a high 5 figure to six figure salary. Sorry, I wouldn't give that up to ask about the origins of a coin.

It was sent thru my fathers account. He has had a substantial ammount of coins graded thru them over many years. This,personally,was my first submission. I have no reason to blatantly lie about something so insignificant. Meanwhile everyone disregarded my actual questions,which is fine. I was just curious

OK, I'm not a fan of the obverse toning in particular, which looks heavy and thick, almost like stained by oil. I'll say MS-65, but whatever the grade, I find this unattractive. You asked. I'm sure you have no reason to "blatantly lie" about the telephone call, as you say, so without revealing any specific details, how about just telling us which grading service it was? Surely you can tell us that much. You suggest that this issue is "insignificant" - it is not. Edited by Coinfrog

The toning could be hiding surface issues which may not reveal in pictures, I did grade it between AU-MS. Edit: could be detail grade, seen it quite a few times. I have 2 detail grade coins that I thought otherwise that was straight grade.  Edited by macmercury

Still thinking ........Russet toning ........baked at 375 F inside a russet potato wrapped in tin foil .
No way that is natural toning .

I personally think the toning is NT. Love the REV toning!
