If you could go ahead and open up one of those sets and show us what you are talking about that would be great.

It looks to me like your artificial lighting is just creating an illusion of some kind of coating. As with the other images that you have posted in this and other threads, I really have no idea what you are talking about.

Why silver? The dies were chrome plated... could it not be a tiny bit of chromium?

Rocky, we don't understand what you mean by holograms. I'll put in my 2 cents on what I see, from your pics, and maybe that will help you tell us what you mean.

On the coin directly above, I see a halo around the full portrait outline, shiny parts under the eye and along the inside of the nose line down to the lip, the cheek gets some too. Then the neck is shiny front and back with the inside hair curls. Under the ear as well. All on an algae green colour.

The quarter above that, I see the halo around the outline of the caribou, along with the ear, eye and nostril.

Any of this help? We just want to see what you are trying to point out.

loonielewy what I am trying to say is. when you look at the quarter. all your seeing is a reflection. what it really looks like is a piece of clear plastic. what is underneath that plastic is a little smaller image of a quarter. when you guys figure this out. you see what I am saying. you will see for yourself.

I don't think that Wexler would call that a multiple strike. Maybe one of us needs to read a little closer/better.
Here is a Wexler link for you to reread. Be sure to go to each of the links inside this reference (by different classes) on doubled dies.

I think that his "plastic" attacked him and blocked any images from appearing.
