nvinson105, I understand you meant well and were going by Richard's post (which I deleted, sorry Richard) but there was a little confusion over how to handle the situation.
Since the forum acts as a proxy for the emails sent through the forum, all reports of the headers will only reflect badly on the forum, not the original knucklehead.

Just set your e-mail address to private. Are thre private messages on this board system? As much as this "dear one" would like to help Michael with his fiduciary problems, I think I'd rather help him with my fists. Ka pow. :D

There are no PM's on this forum because they're not really private. Admins can see them, and that's a whole can of worms we decided not to open up at the forums inception.
The email problem has been resolved though, thanks to Rui. It shouldn't happen again.

Hello Coin Community, This type of scam usually originates in Nigeria. They will string you along, each time it takes more money. If you take it to the end, you wind up going to Nigeria with a sack of money to make some exchange, and wind up murdered (disappearing). The people who actually send the emails are generally simple employees. Some coin scams work in a similar manner, the "dealer" pretends to "own" the business, but is really just an employee of some hidden criminal power. Best, Alan Van Arsdale

No, it must have just taken a while to get to you. Email addresses are never exposed to forum members when sending an email and non-members can't even get to the profiles.

Bobby,
I would also like to report this email to you as well. Kerri and I both, in two seperate email addresses, received the letter. Neither of the email addresses that we received it in are linked in any way.
***Not trying to cause any alarms, just thought that I'd pass the word. We know FULL and WELL that no true member from the forum would perform this act. Everyone here is either smarter than that or at least more civilized.

But they are the email addresses you used to sign up for the forum. The forum software knows your email address, but when a member goes to your profile to send you an email, the forum does not reveal your email addy. It simply takes your message and relays it to you discretely keeping your email addy private from the sender. Now if you reply to the sender directly (not using the forum email), they will have your email addy.

I usually can spot this nonsense a mile away, but this time I got fooled too! Mainly because the sender was "Mike" so I thought it was our Mike with a fantastic deal just for me. LOL After reading a couple of lines I knew I'd been had, so then started worrying about viruses, and hastily fumbled for the delete button, knowing full well I was too late anyway!

It's a scam,
LOL, now imagine if I had 3 and a half million dollars, what would I do? Hummmm.....
I know, I send an email to a complete stranger offering to give the a percentage cut of my money.....NOT !!!
I received a hand written letter similiar to this years ago. It's an old scam. They will want your bank details to send you the money. (Yeah Right!) and then they need a little more information about you so that they feel secure in sending you millions...and whamo you have given your idenity away. After that they will purchase items with your ID.

Every now and then this sort of offerings are made to tempt nad trap the gullible ones. It would be best to block their emails...
