...spending all your spare time trying to figure out how to buy a coin counter and have people come to you just so you can go through their change...

When I was returning my latest box of cents to the bank coin counter, the person in front of me dumped 3 coffee cans worth of coins into the machine.

I was trying to figure out how to get the coins. It killed me to watch unsearched coins go into that machine.

I tried my best to convince myself that they were collectors, but I just couldn't.

you ask the people at the supermarket when the CoinStar guy comes in so that you can try to find out where he takes the coins so you can go there and try and buy the rolls

...when every purchase the wife makes is automatically converted in your mind into how many coins it could have bought! (Seriously, my wife bought a $200 FAKE Louis Vuitton purse. I'm not kidding, it was FAKE and $200.....She tried to justify it by telling me the real thing is $2000 and this one looks exactly the same. She truly believed she had saved $1800! I believed she just wasted $200 worth of coin money on a POS!).

I was in the Air Force and assigned to Korea for two years in the early 90's. These were $10 each there. The wife bought them and sent them to her sister and cousins. They thought we were RICH! Ssshhhhh! She still hasn't told them.

Could be worse: In my case, I told her that instead of her new $250 purse, she should have bought $200 in silver coins and a $50 purse!

The only time you ever set foot in a bank branch is to get coin rolls.

When you have your own coin room and your niece refers to it as the "Penny Lab". Guess I search a few too many boxes, huh?

When someone ahead of you in line asks the bank teller for a new version of a business strike coin, and the bank doesn't have it, but you have the coin they're looking for, in your pocket!
