My priority on the 2009 Cents is to get the Copper Proof Set!

If they do "Mint Rolls" with 'Uncirculated' Copper cents, I'd jump on that!

Zinc 09's? I'll save any BU roll I get for 50¢

It's the copper (bronze) cents I'm interested in. I assume it will be late in the year before the 4-piece bronze proof set will be released so I'll probably pick up a couple of each proof as they're released.

I don't think there are plans to release any 50 piece bronze rolls but I bet some will be available as hoards are submitted for grading and those that come back below PR68RD will likely be put up for sale in 50 coin rolls for big dollars.

I'll probably save a couple Zincoln rolls of each reverse and spring for one 50 coin proof bronze roll.

Looking forward to it!

Proofs should have been bronze all along. I'm also going to pay close attention to possible die anomalies, if these are a single-year run. There could be some interesting goofs.

you guys will not buy just one roll... come on I do not collect Lincolns but I'm planning on buying a few rolls just to have

As I understand it there will be 4 designs with P & D mintmarks. Eight coins is all I need. After that they're just pocket change.

The amount of rolls that I would like to buy depends on if I can get them from a bank,if so I would like to buy two boxes of each design so I can keep one box of each and look through one box of each for errors and varieties.

Since I collect Lincolns, and will not probably get any in change until late 2009 or 2010, I will have to rely on CCF members to get mine.

I take it this buying of rolls is as an investment? Otherwise why do you need more than one of any particular coin? Sounds a bit boring to me.

But then I collect world coins and there are thousands of different ones of those to collect!

If it is for investment, given the numbers I don't think they will be worth anything anytime soon.

That's one thing they'll finally do right in 2009!

I know they don't have any stated plans to make Uncirculated 2009 Cent Mint Rolls with Bronze Alloy planchets, but that would sure justify a premium for the "Mint Rolls" (vs. BU bank rolls), now wouldn't it! The law did specify that they could make 2009 Bronze Cents for numismatic products (sold to collectors), so "Mint Rolls" would qualify.

See, that would make the "Mint Rolls" a true premium issue, not just pretty Mint paper wrapping!

Just like what happened with the Westward Journey Nickel Proofs.

I will be looking for errors so I'll get a box or 2 to start. Put a small hand full into 2x2's and spend the rest.

All I can get. Because the die variety situation will be the same as the State Quarters . I expect to see quite a few varieties
