Mangled it is. That's a bad case of zinc rot.

Yeah it is rotted but whats interesting is its on both sides and it seems to be impressions of itself squiahed or maybe clashed with another coin .... I just cant make it out enough to determine what . I just found the 1983 thats a recognized varitation and it is nothing as bad as this this you can see its numbers and letters all over the coin or thats how it appears to me can anyone make anything out pn it?

to CCF. We need one full coin photo of the obverse and one full coin photo of the reverse as well as one or two close ups when needed, all in focus to really help you.
This coin suffers from a plating issue where zinc dust got trapped between the zinc core and copper plating. When the copper plating cracks and is espoused to air it starts to rot, hence zinc rot.

PenKnee, much better photos, thank you! The more you do coin photography, the better (and easier) you'll get!

As mentioned in other remarks above, your poor cent is suffering from a bad case of "zinc rot" as your photo clearly shows. The little "bumps" are from zinc dust erupting into advanced zinc rot. Your cent is literally eating itself away and eventually be unrecognizable and useless as a coin. Spend it while you can!

Zinc rot is to cents, as rust is to cars back east. Damage/rust is not a plus for either. On a coin, damage can't be fixed, repaired or spruced up. A damaged coin is something going away. No something to invest in. Keep the best, spend the rest.
