Thanks for all the help, I'll try and get pics of the leaves. If its 10 + E12, what exactly does that correspond with? Would that mean it is a DP N9 #4?

It is not the DP N9 #4. The 10+E12 is not as scarce as the #4.

Based on the studies we did for the 1859 N9 rarity ratings. the 10+E12 showed up about twice as often as the DP9 #4 (Haxby 23+E25a).

In a 4,806 coin sample, there were 33 10+E12 and 18 23+E25a.

We put a price on it as $800 Cdn in MS60 in the 2011 Charlton and ICCS and Trends have closely followed with our pricing. It's a neat, well-offset variety and I think that you'd get the best luck with ICCS, since they were involved in out variety section. You'd get your best bang-for-the-buck with ICCS and you can suggest that it's on p283 of the 2011, 65th edition, of Charlton.

Okie, I have the 2013 version, the purple one. I may be talking about the wrong book here but pages 283 are test tokens? The large cents are in the beginning?
I will probably grade it at ICCS. They will just list the variety as 10+E12 right and not a specific numbered DP N9 variety right?
Thanks!

It is the 2011 edition that has the Vicky large cent varieties. I don't think that ICCS can or will use the Haxby numbers. They will probably just list it as a RP'd 9. It will cost you extra, probably, to have a variety list on the holder, but I don't know for sure. Unless you are going to sell it, why have it certified? You already know what it is. Why do you need an unknown person's opinion?

Obone2003, ICCS would probably be the best grading company to go with if you were to crack it out of the hard slab they will only mention that it is a DP9 Varity. PCGS will probably put DPN9 T1, every DP9 that I have sent them that they are not sure of comes back that way and expensive to send from Canada.

As for value I go by the DP9 #2 for any DP9 that is not listed in trends or the Charlton coin guides its the lesser of all 1859 DP9's. But like mentioned by others you need to try and find a 2011 65th Edition of Charlton.

Good luck and Happy Hunting

Here is a cross reference for the Haxby #'s to 2011 Charlton page #. Hope this will be helpful.

Jim J ... I always go by the assigned price that we put in the 2011 guide. Charlton directly incorporated our prices into their guide and just used the multiple that we assigned. As I posted above, the 2011 had an MS60 listed for $800 Canadian.

Thanks Bill.

I saw a typo on my chart and made a correction just now. If anyone sees any other typos, let me know and I'll fix it.

Phil ... I don't know where your error was that you corrected, but p294 is the 9/6, but I guess you can call it Inv 9/9 if you want.
