Wow... I'm over trying to get my contest wrapped up and I see my name over to my left and it says "Champion:COINAHOLIC" WooHoo! Cue me some bananas As far as a rule change I'd like jbuck back in as a regular!

Interesting discussion... The reason why the winner gets no points is because they already got four more than the runner-ups and nine more than the other participants. I wanted to make sure that someone who won multiple rounds did not build too strong a lead by having them "sit-out" the next round. It did not seem fair to give a point for hosting. In hindsight it might not have been a bad idea, but for giggles, here is what the final results would have been had that rule applied to this season: pls 32

wd1040 1 As you can see, pls would have been the winner; he was also the only person to win more than one round. If I change the rule for Season 4, will pls feel like he was robbed in Season 3?  I await other comments on this one!  As for changing the points, I want to keep it simple; but I would like to hear more comments on this as well. |

I don't think there would be any reason for anyone to feel robbed because of a rule change after the end of the season. After all, we're all playing by the same rules each season.
I don't have an opinion about changing the point structure to give more points for people that don't make the top 3 in a round. Also, I forgot to congratulate Coinaholic for winning this season.

Do I think I wuz robbed? Hardly not. I always look forward to the next opportunity and never back at what went down. What's past is history. And frankly I was rather lucky all the way in this contest.
So I'm looking forward to the next one, jbuck. Bring 'er on!

Snow ?..... there ?......OH WOW !...  ... We got an inch and a half here Saturday morning.......no big deal for us.....but that's amazing to get enough " to play in" where YOU live ! .....  I bet you sure miss that Illinois weather JB !..... bet it was just like "old times" huh ?.....ahhh the memories ! Hey - it's your contest. As long as you're consistent in application, you can bring in any rules that you like. Nice of you to show me at the top in one permutation, however. Not bad for the new/old guy (I've been a member here only since last July, and boy have I learned a lot!).
