To the best of my knowledge there has never been a Wide AM found in a Cheerios package. Also the Wide AM's were found later in the year which makes it unlikely that one of the first 10 million would also have the Wide AM unless there was more than one die.

I am 99.99% certain that the Cheerios coins were all minted on the same day to two day stretch, and enough have been opened to see every different die pair possible. None of them are wide AMs.

I wonder if Cheerios are doing the 2009 Lincoln cents? Does anyone know?

No, not all of them have the Wide AM. I have seen MANY NGC examples which say "Cheerios promotion/Close AM", so, no, not all have the Wide AM. I have a number of Cheerios cents as well! Welcome to the forum!

Yes, and the close-AM is the common one....which ALL of them are.

That would be nice, especially since I go through a boxes of Cheerios each month!

A box in a month? I'd be lucky to see a box last three days here.

I doubt they will be doing another promotion with cents - the last promotion was actually really just for the Sac dollar. Supposedly celebrating the beginning of the millennium - even though the new millennium didn't really begin until 01/01/2001.

Now where did that stray 'a' come from? Bad 'a', bad 'a'!

So, let me try this again...

I have to admit that I go through fewer boxes now that I am married!

Try three teenage boys. That'll make them go away fast...along with three gallons of milk a week, four loafs of bread a week, and a 24 pack of toilet paper every month.

Back when I was alone a box of cereal lasted four weeks, a gallon of milk would spoil before I could finish it, a single loaf of bread lasted me two weeks, and I went through one roll of toilet paper in three weeks.

It is bad enough my that eight month old is dipping into my Cheerios now... I do not look forward to competing with him as a teenager!

When I was single, all I ate was cereal. I did not inherit the cooking gene.

Hmm...I'm about the only one who cooks in this family. The kids don't do it nor do they want to learn, and the wife rarely cooks. If I didn't step into the kitchen and cook, we would be eating out every day.
