Hi, I think I have a genuine 1856 Flying Eagle cent and am looking to get it graded. Which company would you recommend, PCGS or NGC? What do you guys think? Kind regards, Andrew   |

To the CCF I'm sorry to say but I have to agree, it's a counterfeit. Hope that you didn't buy it. |

Enter "1856 Flying Eagle cent in the Search box above to find past threads on this subject, including pictures of genuine examples (notably the correct date logo, which is much different than that depicted on the subject coin). Edited by Coinfrog

I'm sure it's a disappointment to learn it's a fake, but at least you didn't pay a third party grader $50 to $75 to learn the same thing.
