Obviously, many varieties are difficult to attribute from photos alone, particularly with Lincoln cents. The die varieties I collect are relatively easy by comparison.

Yes I do agree with you ,but this particular coin that was photograped was very easy to attribute by the great pics that were given/ I do understand that it;s hard to make an accurate description just by photos, the majority of times ,but if there clear like this one you could by magnifying on your computer just like you would do it in person with a loupe. just my opinion

Thank you for getting on another topic needed that and making adjustments

I just think it's easy for the average collector like me to make mistakes.
As there are a number of similar DDOs this year, I'm guessing they are best distinguished by die markers.
Perhaps that's why Chuck said this one would need a "hands-on attribution".

I would like to know why my posts were taken off this subject. If you have a problem with what I am saying, please contact me and just do not delete my opinion.

If you do want me to stop posting in this forum, that is no problem, I will.

I am interested to know why BJs posts were deleted/moved as well, I certainly did not see anything that justified their removal...

Kloccwork 419, using a 8.1 mega-pixel Kodak from Walmart with a ting magnifying glass at the end of a small steel tube, you wouldn't believe it would do good just by looking at it, but it does. Bj Neff just wanted to tell you I appreciate your opinion on everything.

Sorry if you were offended. However, bickering about things that happen on another forum will never be allowed here. It has nothing to do with your opinion.

For the record, I removed the posts in question. They were removed to avoid any further confrontation. BJ was nice enough to point out that Jazz Coins has posted false information about the variety number listed. His post pointed out that ALL members must be careful when attempting to attribute varieties. It is not easy, and most of the time I believe the coin must be in the hands of experts to be completely accurate. Having said that, the posts removed stated just that, but not necessarily in the same manner. I believe my intentions may have been misconstrued, and that is unfortunate. The disagreement was in the delivery of the posts, not the content per se. End of story.
