The periods are right...

Awesome!
I really didn't know. Never paid it much attention.
I looked at this one harder than any VDB ever before
due to the unbelievable nature. Therefore the periods
stuck out like I had never noticed before.

All I can say is that a find like that couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. What comes around goes around and it appears that it came your way about 10 fold.

Congrats I am happy for you

SWEET!! Great find. I wish (as does everyone else in this forum) that I could find just one of the two coins you got there.

My memory may be vague, but didn't someone report on here that there are "no unsearched wheat rolls?"

Can you give us a few more details about the rolls and where you got them? This is amazing!

JonS, I advertise and buy rolls from the general public at $1.50 per roll. I've never had this many rolls at one time before. Usually 5 or 6 a month. I pick out what I want and sell the rest to my local B&M for same price. I think he only does this because I never take any cash, just swap for Morgans. Some how though, he always manages to get his hand in my wallet anyway, but it helps support my addictive habit.

Those are a couple nice coins & you sure can't beat the price. Where do you advertise, & is it specifically for cents or do you try for other coins also?

Plumber007, I'm assuming that's your occupation, I only advertise for the wheat cents, but many times they bring in silver coins also. Standard offer is 3 times face. Sometimes they take it sometimes not. These too are sold to my local B&M for melt no matter what they look like. My son has a service station and a friend owns a convenience store. I have signs up in both places. Took a couple of months before rolls started coming in, but word seems to be getting around. The only coin I've really had to pay a premium for was a 1972 doubled die. That one cost me $25.00.

That was my occupation when I first started "interneting", the name kind of stuck. I have been considering doing some sort of advertising for old coins. Not sure how/where I could advertise & am a little concerned about the legal aspect. I'd hate for the local powers that be to classify me as a pawn shop or something, or even worse think that I was buying stolen goods.

Great finds. I was thinkin about runnin an ad in the paper where I am workin. 1500 miles from home. The nearest shop from where I'm workin is about 8 hour drive away. So I think there would be people wanting to part with a collection or 2 during these hard times.
