Are you kidding me?

First of all, you get fruit:

OK. My guess, from looking at the lack of contrast in the fields of the coin (I assume these are scans, right?), is that this one has been cleaned at some point in the past. I may be wrong. I'd call it Cleaned, with a strict grade of EF40. No doubt you'd see north of $100 for it, maybe $150, with a decently-written ebay auction.

Superdave...

You are correct, these images are scans... and I agree with you on the cleaning. Thanks a bunch for the opinion.

This is the only CC Morgan I own. I originally got into collecting when my uncle died and left me some coins. He had plenty of Morgans but nothing from Carson City.

Happily, I'll add this to his collection.

Great find!! I'll have to start looking thru old tools and books. Funny where you might find treasure.

I'll give it a try. I am a novice at trying to grade cons, but the descriptions I am reading, your coin does NOT appear to have enough detail for EF45. I will guess EF40. value approaching $200. I will be curious to see what the more expertise members have to say.

IUH- the flea market is in Wallingford, CT - about 5 towns over from where I live.. called the Redwood Flea Market

If there are any other Connecticut CCFs hereI would really recommend it, I've had some decent luck there in the past

Very nice find, IMO, cleaned, near date( see VAMWORLD)Nice strike, average wear in the usual spots, I would tend to agree with SD-grade ef40-45. No major nicks or dings except her face, you have done well.....
