I have about 30,000+ Canadian cents including several thousand modern BU, I wouldn't mind doing something like this once I have checked them all. The last 2000 I had I didn't even finish fully going through and then sold then off for face value plus a 67 silver quarter as a bonus(I offered them at face) I also included a full roll of 1937-1952 cents most of which were in G-VG but if I had the work shop id love to do something like this.

I just realized the OP restaurant is in PEI. My wife was there last week visiting some friends. I looked on a map, it would have been about an hour drive.

Yes, it is in PEI above an oyster processing facility that services Malpeque Bay! So when the season is open the oysters don't get much better. Nothing better than the clean salty goodness of fresh juicy Malpeques!

But it wouldn't look right. The silver just doesn't have the same dynamics as copper cents/pennies when it come to the color they turn when aging and getting that red - red/brown - brown patina.
