True Nod, only now for many of us we would be asking our wives for $100 to buy a penny!

So Scott, numerically speaking, how many do you have left to complete the set?

If you still need a 1909-S VDB or 1914-D, then $100 is not going to get you anywhere.

I'm down to 14:

1909-S VDB
1909-S
1910-S
1911-S
1912-S
1913-D
1914-D
1914-S
1917-D
1918-D
1923-S
1926-S
1931-S
1951-S

I figure I can get a few of these for only a couple of bucks each, especially since I'm just filling holes and don't care about grade. Then it should be down to half-a-dozen or so.

We were talking 1980 prices in reference to when I started collecting them. While I could have bought the 1914-D and 1931-S for $100, the 1909-S VDB would have cost $200.

I like Bobby's site. I've never bought from them, either, at least not yet. Not sure if he has a lot in Lincolns but he does have a nice selection.

Scott,

Going the auction route for certified, there is Heritage (ha.com, already mentioned), and teletrade.com. Both have nice pictures.

I use both heritage and teletrade...and have for over 4 years...heritage to sell your coins...teletrade to buy your coins. at both you will be charged a premium, so figure that in. As far as ebay, I only deal in modern certified coins, so I can't recommend myself but just check the feedback totals (and look at some of the comments also)..and good luck...
