That sounds like a good result, overall! For what it's worth, from my perspective, ANACS has been the most consistent TPG for Buff grades over the last couple of years. Enjoy the experience with the Buffs. It's a challenging set, and sometimes on the frustrating side. Be patient, and have fun along the way!

Well done @coll. I'm interested to see pics of the whizzed coin when you get them all back.

Good work on your part estimating the likely grades.

Here is my attempt to get pics of the 1937D they detailed as whizzed AU50. Maybe someone here can enlighten me as to what ANACS saw in this as whizzed so I am better prepared next time. There is enough color in this coin that the photo capture a little of the toning. I loved how the golden highlighted the Buffalo, and still do. I'll keep trying to get decent pics of some of the others that do them enough justice.

Nothing that jumps out as "whizzed" at first glance. A few spots on the reverse look a bit satiny, which could be what they saw (buffalos head and raised ground). I do see a reverse scratch over the Buffalo back that looks newer, and deep. I am a fan of the toning though.

I believe the "scratch" is a fiber that's been blown off. This snapshot, though rudimentary, captures the color I dig better. Since it Detailed, this a rather low value coin, I think I'm going to set it on my shelf and appreciate it more often than hiding it in binder.

Hmm that '37 D looks pretty nice to me in these pics. The surface scratches are much more obvious on the whizzed coins that I have.

I don't see it as whizzed.

Did you request to have the reverse facing the label side of the slab?

@dave700x
Yes, I made the request in the notes line where I could otherwise ask for varieties attribution, etc for two of the coins in my submission. I did this one because the reverse toning and coloring is what I love about the coin so wanted that to be enjoyed and not buried to the bottom. The other was the 1936 s/s because that's the specific on the coin that matters on an otherwise common coin. The way I display them in my collection, I have a few others which I display with the reverse side up if that's the prettier side, so these just add to the madness.

I figured there had to be a method for your madness.. I like the looks of that one as well regardless of what the graders said...
