Send it in!

Odds are also good that your scale does not weigh in the .00,
one hundredths and has rounded up. Get a tongue depressor of something similar, find the halfway point and put something under it. Find a coin that you know is a copper plated zinc coin, put it on one end and your 82D on the other end and see if it balances. You need them to be exactly in the same place though, at the ends and the fulcrum, dead center.

Looks like a zinc cent. Sound on a table may be helpful. Stand it on edge and push it over and try with another zinc cent (Post 1983) and a copper cent pre 1981 and listen to how they sound. That might be helpful. I can put one of each in each hand and tell the difference most of the time. (But that is just me?)

We need way better photos. Always show us both sides of your coin.

Your photos are ultra dark. Small date zinc.

The 1982 D Lincoln small date 3.1g - copper is one of the very rare fantasy finds. It is very valuable.
If you think you have one try several different scales.
If it proves to be a 1982 D small date 3.1g copper protect it and get a reputable coin dealer appraise it. But don't sell it to the dealer.
Get it graded and valued for auction.

If you feel that you might have the rare 1982-D small date bronze, it would be well worth the investment in a $20 scale to find out! Fingers crossed!

I would buy a coin scale that reads out to 0.00 grams.
If this coin weighs 2.5 to 2.9 grams on your current scale, it will round it up to 3g, Now if the coin weighs 3.0 to 3.4 grams, your scale will round down to 3g.

I recently discovered that you can buy a gun powder scale for not much money that goes down to 0.001.Just make sure it weights up to 50 grams.

It is a small date and hopefully, the OP is obtaining a more accurate scale since I thought I spotted plating bubbles/blisters as well (which would mean it's not a valuable 95% copper planchet.)
