Caveat, grading from photos through an ICCS plastic holder is difficult. If that is a hit behind George's head, then 64 Red at ICCS. If not maybe 65 Red.

Looks like the remnants of lacquer in the legends, but it was not mentioned. Maybe they net-graded it lower because of it?

@bosox - where do you come down on the practise of down-grading a coin due to a 'details' type issue such as lacquering? If I understand correctly, this is exactly what ICCS does, in contrast to PCGS, which would give the full grade but indicate details as well.

My personal take is that it's important to be aware of these issues - they're relevant to discussions of price but otherwise, it's all about the coin. Problem is that some dealers/buyers don't think that way (still!).

I'm not familiar with how to identify lacquer although there is some discoloration on the rims on the reverse? I've posted some more detail in the pictures below. On the obverse: there is an imperfection below the I in "IMP" and there's "something" (purposely avoiding biased wording like "large gash" or "minor blemish" to avoid bias" below the I of IND.

Definitely tough to get a good photo through the ICCS holder. the lines that can be seen on the photos are on the holder and I can see now hairlines or evidence of any cleaning on the coin itself.

appreciate all the help and feedback! I'll be posting the final grade tonight.

PCGS detailed my coin because of Lacquer surface with no grade other than UNC Lacquer

Interesting. I had a coin body-bagged by ICCS on the basis of lacquer on one occasion. it was a learning experience...

@Cdngmt got it. MS-63.
Other than what a few bosox and a few others noted, I'm not really seeing any issues (although I'm not sure how determine if it's lacquered but it looks normal?). coin looks better in hand than I can do with pictures through the holder. I've been using it as a point of reference for grading raw coins. might be causing me to be a bit conservative if this example is strong for MS63.

appreciate all the comments!

Should be a 64.

Consider it a very strictly graded 63.
