MS64 The coin has a nice clean cheek with strong eye appeal, but the fields are going to keep it at 64.

with fields showing some level of PL qualities, the marks we see are very typical as they tend to be more exaggerated. to determine depth we would need some kind of comparison such as newsprint. I think it makes MS65 with a possible associated designation for the fields but I think the reverse is not quite there based on the photo

Great pickup for the price IMO. I could see a 65.

64PL but the hit below IGWT bothers me a bit.

Thank you all. Looks like I'm fairly close. As some of you mentioned, I don't think the reverse is quite enough for a PL. That's why I thought a + or a * designation would be possible instead.

Looking at this I think it is an MS64+, interested to see if the TPG gives it 65 or PL.

That is a beautiful coin. Obverse certainly looks PL. Reverse no so much. I can see this grading 65 or 65PL

If the pics are good -- and they sure seem to be (nice job) -- the coin is nearly PL. What I've learned about hits like that below IGWT is that TPGs discount them less if they are strike or bag handling marks. I'm pretty sure those are Reed Marks ... pretty nice ones, actually. It's a pretty coin, and the few blemishes it has are interesting, if you ask me. MS65PL.

This one got a 65. I still think it deserves a star or plus designation, but I'm fine with the grade

Quote: This one got a 65. I still think it deserves a star or plus designation, but I'm fine with the grade this year is known for solid sharp strikes. this one is short on strike. the hair around the ear should be a little sharper and the breast is too flat. although the marks above the eagle are small, its in the key area. for these two reason I think its why it did not receive the tick up
