May have spent some time in an older, occasionally moist coin folder, What does the reverse look like?

Sorry about that, I uploaded the Obverse twice by accident. Here is the reverse. Thank you all for your opinions! Much appreciation.

Looks like AT to me, but either way, not particularly attractive.

Artificial Toning and I'm not a fan at all

Naturally toned coins never show the identical toning patterns on both sides. This is clearly altered.

Quote: Certainly not Market Acceptable toning . This! There is zero chance this would straight grade from the top 4.

If they are that confident it is NT...make a deal that they send it out to be graded and if it straight grades you'll buy it. smat

With the reverse image now posted, I'm leaning toward toning deliberately induced by someone. I have a small collection of Morgans and Peace dollars where the toning is suspect--I accept them for what they are and enjoy 'em. I'd add this example for sure.

I once used my uncle's acetylene torch to light off bottle rockets by the hundreds. This coin made me think of that night. Not good.

Looks like the type of toning achieved by using a hard boiled egg and a covered container.

I had my doubts, especially seeing the toning around the number "6" in the date. I have seen similar NT coins, graded and all, with somewhat similar attributes, that's what brought me here to the forum. I just wanted to reassure myself with opinions from this group. Most def, you all know your stuff pretty well. Thanks everybody for looking and taking the time to put a few words in.

If the price is right, Dipping it would vastly improve it.
