Thank you, Morgans Dad! I'm selling more and more of my coin collection as I build up my sets of type notes, fractionals, and Arkansas notes. You'll still see the occasional upgrade of a silver classic commemorative and maybe an occasional Buffalo nickel or silver dollar from me, but my purchases are probably more than 95% currency at this point. Though I only started collecting large and small size type currency in 2019 (after over 50 years of coin collecting), and fractionals in early-2022, it's really become a passion for me. And Arkansas National Bank Notes and obsoletes have really got me stirred up the past year or two!

Thank you very much mikev50, scopru and Dearborn! It's been slow-going this year on the fractional notes as I've been really focused on building my collection of Arkansas National Bank Notes, obsoletes and scrip. I've got fairly narrow ranges of desired grades on most of the fractional notes on my want list, so that also slows me down quite a bit!

Slow and steady is the proper way to build a magnificent collection.

It's been many months since my last fractional note addition, but I finally have a new one. Some of the surcharges are not very distinct and the note has seen a lot of circulation, but there are only 17 Fr#1371 notes graded by PMG so I was quite happy to pick this one up! This note has sheet position indicators "1" and "a" printed on the face (the "a" is in the lower left field, the "1" is in the far left field). These notes were printed in sheets of 12, with 3 across and 4 down. The top row of notes had an position indicator "a", while the left-most column had an position indicator of "1". Thus, only the top left note of each sheet of 12 had both "1" and "a" position indicators.

Once again a very nice note Hokie. How complete is your fractional set?

Thanks, Bud250r! At this point I have 75 of the 128 notes which PMG defines as a complete set, so still a very long ways to go!
