Quote: I can't believe they are allowing "fantasy Coins" again They're not, as far as I can tell. This is still their policy: https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/...licy?id=5042Quote: Replica coins are not allowed Counterfeit or altered coins and currency are not allowed, nor is equipment designed to make them Enforcement is another story of course.

I saw the category Fantasy Issue Coins and was concerned but I misread it - it's a subset of exonumia so tokens and things, but the category is abused as to fakes from China proliferate sometimes. Quote: eBay What is the policy?
Replica coins are not allowed Good to see that is still the case. I hope and wish they could keep on top of it, but I'm sure the listings happen faster than they can keep up with.

The scammers apparently knew enough to abstain from minting the 1816 date which was never struck at the mint. Two people were bidding on the off center strike 1815 coin before it was shut down.

Glad they got removed. Buyers always need to do their due diligence before purchasing coins, but scams like this are awful to see.

"Rings like silver" sounds like something to scam the scammers with. "You can buy this $1.99 Chinese garbage from me for $14, but it 'rings like silver', so you can scam somebody else for a lot more!" But does it really ring like silver? Scamming the scammers. From what's posted here, it seems like with so many listings this seller has a direct line to the Chinese factory, and I wish the Feds would step in. This seems like a criminal enterprise beyond the typical 0 feedback scammers.
