Even if cleaned long ago, it looks attractive and market acceptable to me.

I agree.

The one I bought was most definitely cleaned at some time in its life, but it still looks good in my 7070.

Better surfaces than most Seated dollars, I like it.

I'll say $750 without looking at any guides. Looks XF, common date, looks good. Lots of them don't.

Based just on the image, it doesn't look cleaned to me.

Do you have the inside scoop to this auction? I see it is on a bid, without the option to send an offer. I am guessing there was a best offer option to this before the first bid was placed.

IMHO, tis coin grades VF-30.35. Gray sheet bid is $400 in VF-20 and $600 in XF-40. Dealers will likely pay 20% under bid for a decent looking coin like this. My guess is $350 to $400. If they think they can flip it as XF, they may offer $500.

This is an attractive coin that'd be right at home in a 7070 album. Go for it!

Yup, guess they took away the best offer. Was there when I first saw it.

FWIW: people who "fix" coins for fun and profit would gladly pay VF Ask for this coin, or higher. Seated dollars were naturally more widely distributed than were Bust Dollars. Nice circs are tough. "Cleaning problems" are no problem...

Great eye appeal and looks like it will pass for original surfaces.
