After all, this is an ordinary modern coin of 1 dollar. What 's unusual about that ?

Do you guys and gals know if there is a rough amount out on the market that the mint couldn't get in time? Truthfully I was just looking for errors like on some of the State Quarters and happen to come across a YouTube video of a wounded eagle on the Indian dollar and Bam was like I got that I actually got that or so I was hoping today!

ANACS would be an option on this one for about $32.00 + shipping , may still grade MS-62 even at AU it's worthy of the money spent in an ICG or ANACS holder. I've went through about seven bank boxes and no luck, its alot tougher a variety than non error collectors might realize and though not a high dollar variety it's an awesome coin. If you sell it the $150 or so bucks won't be as cool as having a self find i.m.o. now at $350-500.00 I might reconsider. Excellent find there congratulations.

to the CCF Nice find indeed. Appears the reverse has a pre-existing fingerprint and you are not helping by holding the coin in the manner shown in your intro photo. Place it into a protective holder before any additional damage is done. Then pursue sale options.

Slerk, I think one of the last sales of this coin was in like 2016-2018 and went for 30 thousand plus at Ms65-67 I forgot which Ms quality. I read that the mint assumes around 200 of this error/variety managed to escape the mints evil clutches and the others were gathered in time before getting sent out to the banks and other financial institutions.
