That looks great and is so much better for the coins in time, although they did not look too bad in the original album. I suspect its more 1970s/80s than 50s.
I love your coins too, see very proudly a nice 1932 Florin and 1939 one. Your father had great collecting taste and has made the job easy for you in completing it. My parents left me nothing but bills, so you did well.

Taking coins out of PVC pockets and putting them into 2x2's in non PVC album pages is certainly doing the coins a favor, in terms of their preservation, especially for red or red / brown bronze coins. The darkening of both silver and bronze coin will certainly be inhibited by the upgraded storage and presentation method.
I like to record the provenance, date acquired and cost of each coin. This is easily noted on the 2x2. With other than modern coins, - (say, pre 1800), other comments are often necessary as well.

An update on this. The project is now practically done, with the Australian collection broken into two folders, bronze and silver. I am just awaiting the arrival of a 1910 Shilling, as the original was very worn. I have found that the weight of the folders means that I store the folders laying down on separate shelves. This prevents sagging of the pages, and lessens any long term impact of compressing the coins into the mylar windows. I have also done the same with my growing collection of Great Britain & New Zealand pre-decimals, along with Ancients, Medieval, Islamic, Oddballs, varieties, tokens, errors....somebody stop me! My other half recently questioned my sanity when I came home with a gifted folder of very nice Polish and Jugoslavic coins to go with a recent 2 kg purchase of world coins....just for fun!...but that is another story. Most of the world coins will be stored in 2x2's also, but in storage containers. I found these at the Reject Shop, they were $3 each. They seem to be perfect for a single line of coins, holding around 100 in each. I'm using a folded cardboard spacer to keep the coins upright until the container is filled, I just keep cutting it shorter as I go. Room for a dessicant bag, and see through so I can see what's happening inside. Nice clip top lid. Thanks for looking. Onwards and upwards. TT

Great example of how to store coins ttkoo. Have to ask ,what are BCW sleaves ? I need to rehouse all mint sets from 1966 to 1983 I think that come in the plastic flip folders. Just been looking for PVC free coin pages or SAFLIPS , was not over enthused storing in 2x2's. Storing the 2x2's in pages is a good option you have done.

If you're still looking I got my dessicants from here https://www.silicagel.com.au/silica...-10gm-packetThe ziplock bags are made from polypropylene, do not contain BPA, PVC, or PFAS and are Phthalate-free: I got mine here https://ozpack.com.au/products/rese...e%20Shopping depends what size you need. Again apologies for the delay and hopefully you found some in the interim.
